FAQ
What is RTK-VSLAM Integrated Localization?
RTK-VSLAM Integrated Localization combines Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning with Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM) for precise and reliable navigation. RTK provides centimeter-level accuracy, while VSLAM uses visual data to continuously refine the environment map, enabling Lymow One to navigate autonomously, avoid obstacles, and perform optimally on challenging terrains.
How much range can RTK cover?
The RTK coverage range we mentioned is based on a straight-line distance. So, if the RTK base station is at the center, with typical conditions, it can cover 300-500m, and in open areas, it can reach 800-1km.
Is there a subscription fee for RTK?
We use a local RTK base station, and the relevant accessories are already included in the product list, so there are no additional costs. The product list is ready to use right out of the box and includes all necessary hardware and software components. There are no additional mandatory fees throughout the entire machine’s usage cycle.
The RTK signal is received and generated by our RTK base station, then transmitted to the robot via LoRa communication. The entire process does not require external information, incurs no extra costs, and is completely free of charge.
How is the RTK installed?
The RTK base station requires independent power supply, which can be drawn from a home socket or a charging station.
We offer two installation methods: fixed on the ground or on the wall, and users can choose according to their preference.
It’s important to ensure that most of the machine’s working area is visible, but if there are some obstructions, it’s not a problem. Our fusion positioning technology ensures that the system doesn’t rely entirely on RTK. Stable positioning can still be achieved using information from the stereo camera, IMU, wheel speed, and other sensors.

How does the Lymow One maintain precise navigation in areas with limited GPS signal, such as under tree cover or during bad weather?
The Lymow One utilizes advanced multi-sensor fusion localization technology, which reduces reliance on RTK alone. In conditions where RTK signals are weak—such as under tree cover, when the roof blocks the signal, or during bad weather—the Lymow One seamlessly switches to using visual data, IMU, and wheel encoders to maintain precise positioning.
What is the ability to handle wet grass?
We do not recommend mowing on rainy days, as the machine will automatically return to the charging station and will not continue its task. Wet grass presents a challenging scenario, and we specifically considered this when designing the Lymow One. However, in our tests, the Lymow One has proven to be effective in cutting wet grass, thanks to our powerful drive system. Our ability to handle wet grass is far superior to other types of mowers.
How does the Lymow One ensure neat cutting to the edge?
The Lymow One features a front-mounted blade design that offers a wide cutting width, ensuring precise cutting along the edges of your lawn. Additionally, it provides two edge-cutting modes: side cutting and over-edge cutting, allowing users to choose the mode that best suits their needs for a perfectly trimmed lawn edge.
Can the mowing patterns of Lymow One be customized?
Custom text patterns are not currently supported, but you can create designs like diamonds or grids by adjusting the mowing angle.
Does the Lymow One have the ability to avoid small animals and obstacles on the lawn?
Yes, the Lymow One is equipped with RTK-VSLAM Integrated Localization technology and an advanced AI-powered obstacle avoidance system. This system combines semantic recognition and depth perception to intelligently detect and avoid obstacles on the lawn. For stationary obstacles like garden ornaments or toys, the Lymow One will maneuver around them and continue mowing. In the presence of dynamic obstacles, such as small animals or people, the Lymow One will pause its operation until the obstacle has moved away, ensuring safe and efficient mowing.
Does the Lymow One come with an auto-recharge feature?
Yes, when the Lymow One mows with a low battery, it will stop mowing and autonomously return to the charging dock for recharging. This ensures the battery is not excessively discharged, which could reduce its lifespan. Additionally, thanks to the rain sensor of the Lymow One, it will also automatically go back to the charging dock when the sensor detects rain on rainy days.
Is it possible for the Lymow One to resume mowing after a power outage?
Yes. Once the Lymow One is fully recharged, it will return to the exact spot where it stopped mowing due to low battery, and resume its mowing task. This ensures that every part of the lawn receives proper trimming without leaving any unfinished areas, and reduces manual intervention.
What is the cutting width of the Lymow One, and how does its dual-blade system perform?
The Lymow One has a 16" (405mm) cutting width with powerful dual blades that easily handle thick grass. Its floating deck adapts to terrain, and the high-speed fans ensure even grass clippings for a professional finish.
How does the Lymow One handle slopes and complex terrains?
The Lymow One boasts exceptional mobility and climbing ability. It is equipped with robust tracked treads, allowing it to tackle slopes of up to 100% (45°) with ease. It effortlessly conquers a variety of terrains, and its robust design enables it to easily navigate obstacles like roots or pebbles on the lawn, ensuring smooth operation on uneven surfaces for flawless cutting performance.
What is the adjustable cutting height range of the Lymow One?
The Lymow One’s dual-blade system allows you to adjust the cutting height from 1.2" to 4", providing flexibility to maintain your lawn at the desired height.
How does the Lymow One ensure a safe mowing experience?
Lymow One is equipped with comprehensive safety features, including semantic recognition, ultrasonic radars, and bumper sensors to detect obstacles. It also has off-ground detection that stops the mower if lifted, and an emergency button that instantly halts the blades, ensuring a secure mowing experience.
Is the Lymow One waterproof?
Yes, the Lymow One is designed with IPX6 waterproof rating.
