We’ve noticed that many users have multiple properties and would like to use Lymow One across different locations, or even share it within their communities. This blog covers everything you need to know about how to do just that.
Quick Overview:
- The Lymow One supports use across multiple properties, but accessories like RTK base stations need to be moved or purchased separately.
- If you’re moving RTK base station between locations, it’s essential to ensure it’s placed in the same spot at each location.
- Lymow APP supports multiple device bindings, allowing you to manage maps for different properties and switch between them as needed.
Detailed Guide:
Let’s break it down into two scenarios based on the distance between your properties:
1. Properties Less Than 1 km Apart:
This is the easiest setup. If the two properties are close, you won’t need to move the charging station or RTK base station. Simply designate the lawns as Go-Zones in the app and connect them with channels. Be mindful to avoid routing the channels through roads for safety. Once this is done, you can activate the mowing task for the entire area or select a specific zone. The mower will do the rest!
For optimal performance, we recommend operating within a 500m radius from the RTK base station. In an open environment, 1km works just as well. There’s no fixed limit to coverage, and the performance will depend on your specific environment. Our fusion positioning technology is continuously improving, ensuring even better boundary performance in the future.
2. Properties Far Apart:
This is a more common setup, but it comes with additional considerations. Here are your options:
Smaller Lawn (Single Charge Coverage): If one of your lawns is small enough to be mowed in a single charge, you can simply move the RTK base station between properties. However, it’s crucial to place the base station in the exact same spot each time. This is simple, but needs to be done carefully. Alternatively, you can purchase additional RTK base stations. You can bind one mower to multiple RTK stations, but it will only use the data from one station at a time.
Larger Lawn (Battery Power Needs Charging): If the mowing area exceeds the battery's single-charge capacity, we suggest two options:
- Option 1: Purchase a spare battery and swap it out mid-task.
- Option 2: Purchase an additional charging station for the second property so the mower can recharge and continue its task automatically.
If it’s inconvenient to supply power to a charging station at a specific property, a spare battery is the more flexible solution. Alternatively, an additional charging station makes it easier to handle long mowing tasks across properties.
Summary
Lymow One is designed to give you a seamless, professional mowing experience. In addition to its excellent performance, we focus on delivering an exceptional user experience. With the Lymow APP, you can easily manage multiple devices, create and switch between maps for different properties, and schedule tasks to mow automatically. We also encourage you to share your experiences in the community, so more people can learn about Lymow One and enjoy its top-tier performance.
If you purchase multiple mowers for different properties, you won’t need to worry about any of the above. Simply control everything via the app and let the mowers do the work.
Important Note
Some accessories, such as additional RTK base stations, have not yet been launched on Kickstarter. Don't worry! They’ll be available on our website soon, and you can purchase them whenever you need.
Thank you for your support, and stay tuned for more updates!
